Hubcap Grill is not on top of my list. Today I had a DMCB - just meat, cheese, and bread. It was fantastic! Hot and juicy, nicely seasoned and carmelized from the grill. The fresh cut fries were awesome and cooked all the way through. I am basking in the beefy afterglow! I went for the basic burger w/ sweet fries. I never thought I'd rave about a bun...but it was fantastic. If for no other reason, one should go just to see what is pictured in the dictionary under "exceptional burger bun". It did lose a point based on fries. Not crispy enough for my taste. Fortunately for them I go to burger joints for the burgers...not the fries. Though I'm no longer in the area (even remotely) I'm plotting my next excursion to the cap. They are thick and limp, the worst combination. The burger is really good though. I like the homemade buns. Wish they had more sitting area too, but I guess that's the charm of the place.
